self study/self dictionary word list request
Hello, I’m wondering why Saladict doesn’t have an option to save words directly to a personal dictionary. While I see the “notebook” feature, it mainly saves translations rather than definitions from specific dictionaries. It would be much more useful if we could save words along with their meanings from specific sources like Merriam-Webster or Cambridge, allowing users to set a first and second dictionary preference. This way, we could review and practice our word list more efficiently and remove words when we no longer need them. Even if saving specific definitions isn’t possible, having the ability to create a simple word list would still be beneficial. If the words in our list were linked to the Saladict extension, we could click on them to quickly check their meanings again. The current notebook feature is helpful for users who want to manually enter meanings or translations, but it is not very effective for those who simply want to create a general word lookup list with one click. Additionally, it would be great to have a shortcut key to quickly add words to our list with a single button press. This would make the process much faster and more convenient. Another idea to improve efficiency would be adding a highlighting option for words in our notebook or word list, making it easier to organize and focus on key vocabulary. Thank you for considering this suggestion! I believe these features would significantly enhance Saladict for language learners.
